Sofia Orellana

Hi! đŸ‘‹
I am a computational neuroscientist (my childhood dream!) and currently a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom. đŸ§ In my work I use big data and neuroinformatics to understand how brain networks and structure are shaped by both physical health and developmental processes in childhood and adolescence. I am supervised by Prof. Ed Bullmore and co-supervised by Prof. Petra VĂ©rtes and Dr. Richard Bethlehem. You can read more about me here.

News!

My most recent paper is now out in PNAS:
Childhood maltreatment influences adult brain structure through its effects on immune, metabolic and psychosocial factors; by Sofia C. Orellana, Richard A.I. Bethlehem, Ivan Simpson-Kent, Anne-Laura van Harmelen, Petra E. VĂ©rtes and Edward Bullmore. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. (2024)
